If any of your acquaintances and friends have been posting pictures of them skydiving instead of the typical Dubai holiday pictures… then know this: they have a lot of money and no fear at all.
Recently, my acquaintances went to the Emirates once again and apparently decided that they had already visited all the viewpoints here and needed a new source of impressions. So they signed up for a parachute jump in Dubai. It’s a non-standard choice, so I asked them about all the details – and I’m running to tell you how much skydiving in Dubai costs, whether you need to prepare for it so seriously, what to expect from the flight (and landing) and many other useful and interesting things.
How much does a skydiving ticket cost in Dubai and how do I book it?
You can’t just walk in off the street, sign up and jump on the same day. So first things first, let’s find out what the prices are for skydiving in Dubai in 2025 and what the preliminary process looks like in general.
Skydiving – or Skydive Dubai – takes place in two scenarios:
The most popular: Jumping over Palm Jumeirah (palm island) – from AED 2,749 / $750
Jump over the desert – from AED 2199 / $600
The price includes insurance, equipment, briefing, escort and the jump itself. But if you want to get not only impressions, but also photos or video of the flight, you have to pay extra. Photos and video of the jump over Dubai in 2025 cost from 300 to 700 dirhams / $80-$190 depending on the day of the week (more expensive on weekends).
There are also more budget-friendly fares:
1-minute video for social media – AED 150 / $40
Selfies during the jump – AED 250 / $70.
Before you sign up for a jump, you need to make sure you meet all the parameters. The list is quite long, but there are no specific requirements like “be a master skydiver with two years of experience”.
Here are some basic criteria for jumping:
You are over the age of 18 and under the age of 75. By the way, people over 70 need to present a doctor’s certificate about their health condition. So if your 71-year-old grandmother decided to fulfil a long-standing dream and go skydiving, don’t forget about this point))
The maximum weight for skydiving in Dubai is 100kg for men and 90kg for women. You can’t cheat – you’ll be weighed on the spot
You don’t have any cardiovascular or other serious illnesses, and you haven’t caught a cold at the moment
You’re not pregnant
If you don’t find yourself anywhere in the above points, here’s another important point. 24 hours before the activity, you must refuse alcohol and from diving (from scuba diving). This is such a curious neighbourhood: if you dare to skydive in Dubai, you will have to forget about diving for a day.
Now to the main thing. Where to book a jump? You need to do it in advance, as everything is scheduled by time slots, and the activity is popular. You can use any “experiences” and excursions service – like Klook. But you need a foreign bank card to make a booking.
If you don’t have such a card, you have to get lucky and do things the old-fashioned way. I read in the reviews that some people just came to the office, found out what the nearest date was and signed up. And they paid for the jump in cash, it’s also possible. But please note that only dirhams are accepted on site.
